Nets Kyrie Irving Flips Off Celtics Fans After Sinking 3pointer

Video Celtics Fans Chant Kyrie Sucks During Nets Celtics Game Jayson Tatum Signals Them To Settle Down Fadeaway World

Goalkeeper Kyrie Irving is no stranger to controversy this season. In Game 1 of the NBA's first-round playoff series, he once again proved the critics right. After the Nets came back by a double-digit deficit, the seven-star All-Star Game had enough fans in the fourth quarter.

Irving stood to the side waiting for the ball to fly away and put both hands behind his head to flip the bird.

At 7:31 in the fourth quarter, Irving also rubbed his eyes and pretended to cry to taunt Celtics fans in the TD Garden. And of course the fans laughed in response and the player whistled louder.

In his post-match press conference, the goalkeeper explained to journalists that the fans called him "n****", "b****", but they heard "f*** you". However, players try their best to block out the noise in each game. Otherwise the league would have more problems with Ron Orest. Not that some bad fans wouldn't expect it, but all players have to do is ignore them.

Irving also said: "Where I'm from, you know, I'm so used to all these antics and the people around me. Hmm, you know, nothing new coming into this building and what it would be like. But it's the same energy they have for me and I will have the same energy for them.” Needless to say, he's not lying.

In addition, Irving has been shown stomping on the Celtics logo on Center Court several times in the past. His hatred of Boston goes back many years. Not to mention the player has become one of the most controversial figures in the league this season.

This is largely due to his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine and flat earth theories. If you're a celebrity, it's best to keep some things anonymous. While this is just the tip of the iceberg, Kyrie Irving has never been a fan of Boston sports fans. One thing is for sure: this qualifying series just got a lot more interesting.

The player is expected to receive a fine from the league in the near future. The Celtics now lead by a game. If you haven't already, mark it on your calendar today. Brooklyn meets Boston again at TD Garden on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET. With seconds remaining in Game 1, Jason Tatum hit the winning rim to give his team the lead in the series.

Kyrie "Uncle Drew" Irving wins again!
