In fact, the Atlanta-based chicken sandwich chain said Tuesday that it is trying to set up its own automated deliveries to select locations in California, Texas and Florida. The company says the robots can also improve performance by reducing transportation costs over time. Chick Phil A says he is researching and developing technology to work in a variety of environments, including shopping centers and urban areas. Luke Stiegmeier, of the Chicago Philadelphia office in Austin, Texas, says this insight has helped him win more clients. Chick-fil-A has partnered with Austin-based Refraction AI for independent delivery. The Steigmeyer area is sometimes used by robots to deliver orders within a mile of a restaurant.
