Ronda Rousey Would Only End MMA Retirement For Gina Carano Fight
Ronda Rousey left the UFC six years ago, but admits a title fight could bring her back into the octagon.
Rousey, the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, said in the final episode of The Kurt Angle Show that the fight with Gina Carano deserves a repeat.
"I mean, I've said it a million times," said Rosie. "Then we found out. Gina Carano, that's why I went to war, that's why I know it's possible. I will always be grateful to him… and if he ever says 'Rhonda, I want to beat you tomorrow for £205' the way he wants to.
Rousey has had a great job at WWE since leaving MMA. The 35-year-old is currently the women's SmackDown champion and will try to defend her title at Money in the Bank on July 2.
As for her designated opponent, Carano hangs up her gloves after a disappointing loss against Cris Cyborg in 2009. Once considered the “face of the MMA woman”, Carano fights mainly in EliteXC and Strikeforce when there are no matches. UFC women.
The 40-year-old actor has kicked off his acting career over the past few years, playing supporting roles in films such as Fast & Furious 6 and Deadpool.
She later played Cara Dune in the hit Disney + The Mandalorian series, but was fired from Lucasfilm in 2021 after posting a controversial Instagram post.
The ball is still on Carano's court - to name the time and place where he has to do it.
"I don't care if he comes to my yard and wants to do Rocky's work, or, you know, stuff, and we just do it in the yard," Rosie said. "I'll fight Gina wherever she wants."
