Trump's Lies Are Getting Dumber — Because He's Locked In A Power Battle With Mitch McConnell

In Depth With Bill Bennett C Span Org

If you want to see the differences and similarities between leaders of the old school Republican and the new generation, then look no further than the country's two most powerful Republicans, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and former President Donald Trump. There was a sit-down interview this week.

McConnell was speaking to Jonathan Swan at Axios when Washington Post's Josh Dossie asked about Trump. The two seven-year-old leaders don't speak the same language and don't love each other at all, but both want the same thing: authority. Their public opinion on how to get it may not differ, but I doubt that when they both return to the top they will find a way to get what they want from each other.

Covering Trump in Mar-a-Lago, Dousie announced earlier this week at a party where Trump Henman David Bossi was showing his new film Riggawani: Zuckerberg-Funded Conspiracy to Defeat Donald Trump, produced by his group Citizens United was produced. (Remember that the well-known lawsuit that threw in unlimited money in the US election centered around another Citizens United film called Hillary's Film. The film manages to entertain and inform in the hopes of... the "big" honorary leader. Originally, the party was a coalition of prominent Big Lie supporters across the country, all of whom listened to Trump's erroneous insistence that he won the 2020 election. Bossi repeatedly called Trump the "45th and 47th Presidents of the United." States,” and told the group, “If not, how can we prevent this recurrence.”

All scammers, hangers-on, and catch-up campaigns will continue where they fool true believers with their money and pretend that only repetition and lies can change reality. It's become a common form of Trump's operation, and while it doesn't work for most Americans, it's garnered widespread acclaim among his supporters. Here's an example from Devin Nunes, a former congressional aide and current CEO of Trump Media:

But in reality the opposite is the case.

Trump's social media platform Truth Social is a ghost town, and Twitter is good. But all you have to do at Trumpworld is get what you want, out of reality, and the way you want it.

The day after the party, Dossie sat down for an interview with Trump, and he clearly had an agenda. As I had to guess, on January 6th he was a little concerned about the committee and felt the need to prepare his own report on his conduct on the day ahead of next month's public hearings. He says he has no regrets calling a rally on Jan. 6, as usual about the size of his "age," and claims fake news refuses to admit how tall he is and insists he really wants it . Secret Service did not allow the crowd to lead the procession to the Capitol.

"I'll do it in a minute," Trump told DOS.

On the subject: Trump claims that "crazy left-wing" children "distort" - as usual, the media looks the other way

First, Trump hasn't gone that far in decades. He drives his golf cart across the course so that he doesn't have to walk two meters. Second, he denied the Secret Service dozens of times during the epidemic, scattering super events across the country while disgusting dozens of agents. I don't think we'll ever find out if he liked telling the crowd to go there and take the place by storm, or if he would "lead" them, but if he really wanted to, he would to do. .

"I'll do it in a minute."

He argues House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Washington Mayor Muriel Buser are to blame for the riot, which could not provide adequate protection from Trump fanatics when they might not be able to stop the Capitol for a peaceful move.

"I hate to see this," Trump said that day. "I hate to see it. And I said, "Take care of it," and I assumed they would take care of it."

He certainly did not hate his position, and we know it from the accounts of many people that day who tried and failed to act and stop it. For some reason everyone, including his daughter, thought the President of the United States had some hold on the crowd and when he finally regretted it, he posted a video telling everyone he likes her because she's like that are special, but it's time to go. At home they have.

As @nycsouthpaw wrote on Twitter: "Trump is like Colonel Jesus in every interview, but stupid five times, and no American prosecutor dares call him."

Why is this?

Behind each, the same Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump: ruthless, selfish, power-hungry.

Trump's lies about the day are as big as his election lies, but he believes if he says out loud the ups and downs and the black and white, he will succeed. And it is clear that billions of people are at risk for this artificial chain.

On the other hand, Mitch McConnell is an old-school snake who doesn't lie now. In his interview with Swann, he never stated that he would do his best to win and in any way:

On the subject: McConnell has no reason not to vote for Trump

I think this answer is probably why people favor Trump McConnell, a traditional politician. Trump's primitive thirst for revenge on anyone who surpasses him is actually much easier to understand than McConnell's flight from inaction. The point is not that Trump has a "moral red line." In fact, the two themes are much more synchronized. But McConnell still felt that if he hid it, people might think there was something wrong with the fact that he was such an immoral monster. Trump just came out and admitted it.

But it's really a difference without a difference. Behind all the same Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump: tough, selfish, greedy authorities. They hated each other, but it was hatred for those who saw their moral bankruptcy in the eyes of others.
