"Discrimination or racist language is unacceptable in any form and has no place in society. Lewis is an outstanding ambassador for our sport and deserves respect," F1 said in a statement. Piquet won F1 three times in the 1980s and 23 races. His daughter Kelly Piquet is Verstappen's girlfriend.
